How to choose a right reflow oven machine ?

Reflow oven machine is a very important module is SMT Production line. It is function is through heating and cooling solder paste to make components bonding with PCB. So the temperature is the most important factory for Oven machines.

There are different number of heating zones and cooling zones for different zones reflow oven. Such as for 8 reflow oven machine, there are 4 heating zones and 2 cooling zones. So the heating length is different. In the market , there are 5 zones reflow oven, 6zones reflow oven, 8 reflow ovens, 10 reflow ovens, 12 zones reflow ovens.

If you want higher capacity, choose a much zones oven machines.

The zones number is more, the capacity is higher. If you need to used one ovens for several smt lines. There highly recommend at least 10 ovens. But if you need one oven for only one smt line, the 8 reflow oven is enough.

According your products, choose a right reflow oven.

For led chip, there need at least 6 zones reflow oven, because the led chip need a smoother temperature curve. Most of client will choose 8 zones, but if your capacity is small, 6 zones is OK. But the time for same quantity is different. For example, for same led bulb lighting board. If 8 zones reflow oven need 1 minutes, for 6 zones will need 2 minutes.

But for electrical board, the high precision electrical board, we will recommend 10 reflow oven or even 12 zones oven.

Specially, for lens, usually 5 zones is enough, because the soldering temperature of the glue is relatively low, it cannot withstand too high temperature.
