Classification of electronic components

First of all, the electronic component is a basic unit having its independent circuit function and constituting the circuit. A passive device is a component that consumes only the input signal power of the component, and can perform signal processing and transmission without requiring a power source. Passive devices include resistors, potentiometers, capacitors, inductors, diodes, and more.

The basic condition for active devices to operate properly is that the device must be supplied with the appropriate power supply. Without the power supply, the device will not operate. The active device includes a triode, a field effect transistor, an integrated circuit, etc., and is a component composed of a semiconductor as a basic material. With the development of integrated circuits, it has been possible to integrate unit circuits, functional circuits, and even entire electronic systems.
